We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Community, Gareth Jenkins, a tenacious business transformation leader with a passion for delivering real results. Gareth brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in driving operational turnarounds and business improvements across various sectors.
Gareth’s most notable achievement was leading the operational turnaround of WRc Group, a technical services company that was facing a significant crisis due to a massive pension deficit. Under Gareth’s leadership, the company experienced a remarkable transformation:
Project overspends were slashed from £550k to a mere £93 in the first year.
Project velocity saw a dramatic increase, with open projects in one division reduced by 55% and productivity improved by an impressive 70%.
Cash management facilitated growth from £6.5 million to £12 million over five years, all without the need for access to debt funding.
Profit levels were maintained even amidst with an 18% revenue reduction during the COVID-19 pandemic in a subsidiary.
Gareth’s expertise doesn’t stop there. He has successfully led multiple interventions with Unipart Consulting, delivering significant business improvements for major clients including Shell Lubricants (spanning operations in Houston and Hong Kong), Rolls-Royce Aero Engines, EDF Energy, British Airways Cargo and BAE Systems. His ability to drive change, streamline operations and foster growth is unparalleled.
Gareth’s strategic vision, combined with his hands-on approach, makes him an invaluable asset to our team. We are confident that his leadership will help us continue to deliver exceptional results for our clients and drive our business forward.
