David has a proven track record of success in delivering large-scale financial projects. He has either led or driven four full life-cycle IPOs across major stock exchanges, including NASDAQ, FTSE100, NYSE and AIM, showcasing his deep understanding of regulatory environments and investor relations. Additionally, he has navigated challenging delisting processes in the UK, further demonstrating his ability to manage complex transitions with precision and strategic foresight.
In the realm of mergers and acquisitions, David is a serious contender. His portfolio includes leading due diligence efforts, securing funding, managing sale exits and overseeing integrations and carve-outs. He has successfully helped raise capital ranging from £0.1m to £1.3bn and led or supported funding rounds (Seed, Series A, B, and C) and arranging and managing senior debt arrangements and their associated covenants. This extensive experience highlights his ability to balance the immediate needs of businesses with their medium to long-term growth objectives.
David’s expertise extends beyond finance. As a finance function architect, he has spearheaded the establishment of best-in-class processes and controls, driving turnaround and transformation efforts across international teams. His leadership includes overseeing ERP implementations, SOX compliance frameworks and complex consolidation models.
His entrepreneurial spirit is another defining feature of his career. David founded two trading businesses, one of which achieved organic growth from $0 to $1m in revenue within ten months and another that has earned industry accolades. These ventures are a testament to his ability to think strategically while executing tactically, demonstrating his hands-on approach and commitment to achieving tangible results.
David’s career also reflects a global perspective, having lived and worked in the USA, Europe, India and the UAE. His international experience has equipped him with the cultural intelligence and adaptability. Whether working with/for or advising private equity/VC firms, ultra-high-net-worth family offices, or collaborating with auditors, banks, lawyers and board members, David’s ability to build and leverage strong networks has been pivotal to his success.
In each role, David has been instrumental in building teams, often managing up to 100 members across multiple regions and developing a high performance, collaborative culture.
His leadership roles have spanned sectors including hospitality, renewable energy, oil & gas, automotive and food manufacturing and technology, showcasing his versatility and ability to adapt to diverse business environments. For example, with Tevva Motors, he secured over $125m in funding within 14 months, led the preparation of Form S-1 for a potential US IPO listing and successfully helped lead the company through a period of significant turnaround through to its transformation and scale-up.
