Richard's journey is marked by a seamless integration of technical and operations management skills, underpinned by a robust engineering background. His experience spans from client-facing roles to HQ innovation and operations, where he has consistently demonstrated a profound understanding of lean and agile methodologies.
This expertise has enabled him to lead transformative changes in critical business processes, unlocking new capabilities and deploying cutting-edge technologies with sensitivity and compassion. But Richard is not just a technologist; he is also a creative force. With a passion for art, design and photography, his flair for creative design and strategic thinking has empowered him to identify and exploit often-overlooked opportunities, significantly enhancing commercial preparedness and differentiating their offerings in the market to increase competitiveness.
Richard’s career is adorned with notable achievements. In 2021, he was honoured with the CEO Award for his visionary leadership in transforming worldwide event management, simplifying user journeys and improving data accuracy. His contributions to GE have been equally impactful, where he managed the strategy and change management for outage management applications and led the concept-to-launch of a user-centric mobile field services application, delivering substantial productivity gains. Beyond the corporate world, Richard has demonstrated his strategic acumen by turning around a local infant school, dramatically increasing first-choice applications and achieving full enrolment.
